When the Turtles returned to television, I wrote a wish list. A grand lineup covering all my dreams and desires that I hoped Nickelodeon would achieve with the new series.

One of my requests was the creation of a legitimate coffee mug. No paper or plastic, something fun and brimming with Turtle Power. I wanted the real deal. A mug for us old school TMNT fans who have mutated into coffee-guzzling adults.

I am happy to report that Nickelodeon has turned my wishful thinking into a radical reality. A mug in the shape of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle is no longer left to the imagination. But unfortunately at this point, the item has only been released in the United Kingdom. I've had my eye on it for ages, hoping this glorious grail would jump the pond and land here in the States. 

That big day still hasn't arrived. Luckily for me, my girlfriend is one in a million. She managed to track down a mug in the deepest, darkest parts of the internet and have it shipped as a surprise from the UK to The Sewer Den. Thanks to her loving and gracious act, I am now sipping coffee from Leonardo's head.

Maybe the mug is intended for a spot of tea rather than cup of coffee? The box directs you to the UK version of TMNT website. No mention of the US anywhere. It looks like The Sewer Den now has imported dishware!

The Nickelodeon packaging showcases the current Turtle visual style, but the mug itself fits into any era of TMNT. The design boasts everything we've come to love over the last thirty years - white eyes, ferocious teeth, and a wild bandanna. Although I'm a huge fan of the Nickelodeon series, I love this nondescript version of the Turtles. It's perfect for a fan of any age. 

Leonardo is currently the only character available.

Using advanced scientific measuring methods, I deciphered that the mug holds a decent amount of liquid volume. Coffee, tea, or your favorite action figure, this container can handle it.

Nickelodeon is completely rocking the TMNT return. When I penned my wish list, it was merely a fool's hope. But now, the pieces are falling into place. The Turtles are having another golden era - an era where I can kick off the day with a coffee in my new TMNT mug. Thanks to my bodacious babe of a girlfriend, I'll get a jolt of caffeine AND a shot of cowabunga (I take my Turtle Power with milk, no sugar).
