This holiday season, Santa is coming to the sewers! 24 Days of Turtle is a countdown until Christmas guaranteed to make you merry. From December 1st through 24th, this advent calendar will shell out 24 different TMNT Holiday-themed treats. Each day will offer something new, something ninja.
DAY 19: SATIN ORNAMENTS
The Turtles love a campy Christmas. Their holiday merchandise is steeped in seasonal puns, bad jokes, and Turtle tackiness. But, they’re a goofy group of teenagers. There’s no reason they should be expected to bring sophistication to the holidays. But then, much like Santa, they bear a surprise.
No corners were cut here. These guys boast a timeless design with elegant dexterity. The trinkets are crafted with unbreakable satin – spared at no expense!
The packaging is full Christmas cheer. The Turtles are even showcasing a few decorations of their own. I guess these dudes are ready to trim the tree too.
Many of my TMNT holiday items present the Turtles individually. Each guy gets his own specific stocking or ornament. But, not with this set. Here, everyone is together – on every ornament. It's nice to see our heroes embrace the importance of family and overall unity.
A joyful scene plays out on each ornament instead of the Turtles’ usual antics. Pizza-eating and the word “cowabunga” have been completely dropped in favor of these seasonal scenarios.
The ornaments keep it classy in every aspect. They are so darn peaceful that the villains don’t even get an opportunity to celebrate. It’s only the green machines on these decorations - the Foot Clan are forced to rejoice elsewhere.
As a kid, I loved the wackiness my other decorations brought to the holidays. But, I crave a little class in my "older" years. Luckily, these 6 satin ornaments bring just enough style to the Christmas tree.
Make sure to return tomorrow for Day 20 of 24 Days of Turtle!

I hope you do this again next year. I can't help but enjoy reading about your treasures and escapades.
ReplyDeleteA big THANK YOU packed with Turtle Power!
DeleteThese are kick ass. Even the boxes are cool. Nothing beats a set of satin balls.
ReplyDeleteI've seen these around the web a lot during this time. I can tel they're extremely popular with many older fans, since they still kept it around for the holidays. Who wouldn't? Turtles make Christmas all the more fun.
ReplyDeleteSatin balls are always a delight, too.
I was looking at those satin ornaments on ebay the other day. I ended up making my own TMNT ornaments this year (which will be up on our site on Monday), but I still have these on my wishlist. Maybe next year!
ReplyDeleteDYI ornaments are awesome! A few items on this countdown have been clever crafts.
DeleteI'm pumped to see what you whipped up! Original creations always beat out the purchased stuff.
